This room used to have a valuable 18th Century Maltese Clock in it which has been replaced with a replica. The original is in the museum and is one of 3 Maltese clocks that you can see in the Palace. Maltese Clocks are traditionally painted different colours depending in their owners. Black for the Knights, red for the clergy, blue for the nobility and green for the merchants
