A certain ‘special’ birthday!
I was looking for a country no more than 3.5hrs from the UK, served by a range of airlines with flights from London or the Northwest (Manchester/Liverpool), reasonable climate for the end of February, history, walking and good food for a celebration with 8 family and friends. Add to this list lovely accommodation – 4 double bedrooms all ensuite, easy walking distance to restaurants and aview! Did I find this? Yes, I certainly did! Valletta on the lovely island of Malta! I will admit that I usually plan my trips myself- flights, accommodation, restaurants etc myself. But this was to be a special holiday with close family and friends and I wanted it ‘just right’. So, I sought the help of Gary at Luxury Valletta and I was very impressed. From the planning stage in the UK to the assistance in Malta the service was fantastic. There as a good range of accommodation to choose from and the villa we stayed in was fabulous. We used Luxury Valletta to book an exceptional private visit to a winery and finding us a restaurant that could serve us at 2230 on the day of our arrival! or the special dinner, Luxury Valletta recommended some great sounding restaurants and we decided to eat at Simon Rogan’s Ion – a Michelin 1 star which was excellent and all arrangements sorted for us by Gary at Luxury Valletta. The local representative Nadine and her team were wonderful. The representative was there at 9pm at night to welcome us to our villa and checked up regularly to make sure that all was well. Would I recommend Malta – oh yes! Would I trust my holiday arrangements to Gary, Nadine and Luxury Valletta – certainly.

What a fabulous holiday in Malta and the apartment Valetta was amazing.
We stayed in, apartment 5, 10 Strait Street, From the moment we decided to book our holiday via Gary Lucas in partnership with Nadine of to celebrate our 50 wedding anniversary, everything was surprisingly relaxed. They made everything so easy, and their attention to detail was amazing. Even when we wanted some very last minute changes to a trip we had booked for our party of 4 to Medina, nothing was too much trouble. Everyone involved was extremely professional and approachable throughout our stay. The apartment was truly wonderful with a prime location just a short walk to the main street in Valetta and surrounded by lots of wonderful little restaurants, and most evening we all sat on the roof top terrace enjoying the vibrant sounds and music from the bars and restaurants nearby. The concern for detail from Gary and Nadine was brilliant, there was nothing that they had not thought off in terms of amenities in the apartment, even down to being able to order our shopping ahead of our arrival so that we could fully savour our first evening enjoying local delicacies and food on the apartment terrace.
